  • Connect With God

    April 6, 2008

This CD begins with the soundtrack of a video featuring Pastor Kendall and two teenagers reflecting on life's meaning as they walk through a cemetery, followed by a poignant message by Kendall. He answers the question whether or not you matter to God; and the answer is "yes," even if He doesn't matter to you.

  • Mother's Day

    May 11, 2008

Natalie Odle blesses us with her parental insights as the mother of two, accompanied by her boys' father, husband and our pastor, Kendall. The stories and quips are humorous as the day is dedicated to the recognition of all mothers. In addition, many other people share throughout the message via video about their moms.

  • Imagine

    May 18, 2008

Pastor Kendall Odle continues his emphasis on others as the focus of Turlock Grace.

  • The Ultimate Question

    May 25, 2008

The spoken part of this message begins in progress. Pastor Kendall Odle focuses today on the problem of living for the "if's" -- always wanting what we don't have instead of letting what we do have unlock today's potential. We all need to answer this ultimate question ... what will we do with what we already have?

  • The Comfort Zone

    June 1, 2008

Probably one of, if not the most, pointed and poignant messages ever given by Pastor Kendall Odle, it leaves no doubt as to his passion and desire for this church -- to be a place that appeals to those in need of what it truly has to offer ... the answers for eternity and friendship for today. In order to achieve this goal, however, we need to be willing to leave our dreaded comfort zones, even if it means a wilderness experience. The rewards will far outweigh the risks if we're just willing to move.

  • No Recipe Required

    June 8, 2008

In probably one of the most unusual approaches to a sermon, Pastor Kendall Odle challenges us in a not-so-subtle, even humorous manner to go past "the obvious" answers and, yes, to question our faith in God. Because in doing so, we will investigate and then ultimately own our faith, rather than just accepting what we've been told or have grown up with. Even if we don't find all the answers "on paper," we WILL be assured in our hearts and through our own personal experiences of the reality and compassion of the One true living God.

  • Let's Go

    June 22, 2008

“It was unanimous. We all agree. Let’s go.”

Following a week of meetings with the people of Turlock Grace, Senior Pastor Kendall Odle both informs us of the conclusions of those meetings and where we will soon be heading as a body of Christ followers.

After receiving our full support, Pastor Kendall will lead us to venture beyond the limitations of 200 North Avenue, Turlock, California. Yes, we are becoming a new church with a new vision.

This message is life-changing and community-changing. Nothing will ever be the same after today for the people of Turlock Grace ... or the community of Turlock, for that matter ... and, as God leads, even well beyond.

  • Trust and Obey

    June 29, 2008

Pastor Kendall continues on the trek this church has embarked upon with his message about Saul and Samuel -- a message about trust. Bottom line, we are to trust what the Lord gives us and act upon it accordingly, because when we change or add to what God desires, we end up making ourselves miserable ... and God unhappy, too. He knows what's best for us.

  • Four Simple Things

    July 6, 2008

Part 1 -- A lesson from the Old Testament but every bit as relevant today, Pastor Kendall takes us to II Chronicles 7:14. It's long been the stereotype of this verse that it is about prayer, but it isn't about prayer. Prayer is only one of the four things. Those four things are not instructions given so
that we can have effectual prayer. It was God's instruction to Solomon for the nation of Israel to restore His favor when they were unpleasing to Him ... and instructions for us today, too.

  • Humility

    July 13, 2008

2nd in the "Four Simple Things" series about 2 Chronicles 7:14: "Then if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and heal their land."

Be it naivety or hypocrisy, Pastor Kendall cites many examples of today's less-than-stellar culture and our less-than-stellar reactions to them. The point he is making is this: We all need to lose our haughtiness and humble ourselves -- because no one is qualified to sit in judgment of another any more than we want to be judged ourselves.

God asks many things of us to restore fellowship with Him in this verse, the first of which is true humility.

  • Real Truth About Prayer

    July 27, 2008

Third in the "Four Simple Things" series from II Chronicles 7:14, Pastor Kendall Odle debunks some of the myths about prayer. It's not about time spent or eloquent words used but simply about talking to God, and listening to Him, too -- plain and simple.

Note: If watching the video of this message, please watch it twice ... once to experience our equipment learning curve and once again for content. It's very entertaining; that's for sure!

  • Real Truth About Prayer II

    Aug. 3, 2008

Fourth in the "Four Simple Things" series from II Chronicles 7:14, Pastor Kendall Odle continues to debunk some of the myths about prayer. It's not about time spent or eloquent words used but simply about talking to God, and listening to Him, too -- plain and simple.

  • Seek God's Face

    Aug. 10, 2008

Fifth in the series about II Chronicles 7:14, this message by Pastor Kendall Odle addresses that portion of the verse dealing with seeking God's face. What does this mean exactly? Well, Kendall simplifies it and makes it understandable; it just means to find out what God wants instead of focusing on ourselves.

  • Covered In Dust

    Aug. 17, 2008

Pastor Kendall Odle takes a different tack than the usual "Woe Is Me," "I'm Nothing" approach to Christianity so prevalent in today's culture. Instead, he focuses on how God sees us, not how we see ourselves. This is a much rosier picture, for sure -- because God doesn't get down on us the way we sometimes get down on ourselves.

The message concludes with a great clip, used by permission from nooma.com. It is Pastor Rob Bell speaking to what it means to be a follower of Jesus -- again, looking at His view of us.

  • The Missional Directive

    Aug. 24, 2008

"It's hard to take the first step if you don't know the way" is the opening line of a favorite song of Turlock Grace, and it is becoming more real with each passing day as we enter this next phase of excitement -- and yes, uncertainty -- in the life of this church. Pastor Kendall Odle addresses this with a message from Luke 10, where Jesus gives clear instruction as to those "next steps." He makes some pretty amazing promises in the process, too. So go ahead, take that first step, even if you're afraid. You're in good hands.

  • Straighten Up and Behave!

    Aug. 31, 2008

The final installment of the series on II Chronicles 7:14, Pastor Kendall Odle addresses the part of the verse dealing with turning from our wicked ways. In other words, freedom can indeed be found in having some semblance of structure and order in our lives. That's when healing happens, and when we can find peace.

  • The Missional Directive 2

    Sept. 7, 2008

A continuation of the message two weeks ago, Pastor Kendall passionately expresses the Luke 10 message that is becoming the driving force and focus of this church.

Note: Our apologies for the technical difficulties (i.e. lighting) experienced during the filming of this message.

  • The Missional Directive 3

    Sept. 14, 2008

Change is a'comin ... and being ready is the order of this day. Pastor Kendall addresses our need to be missional, emerging and seeker-focused or sensitive as we prepare for the days ahead.

  • The Missional Directive 4

    Sept. 21, 2008

Fourth in the series, Pastor Kendall once again visits how to be effective fishers of people, as established in Matthew 4.

Note ... Due to technical difficulties, there was not a video made available of this week's message.

  • The Missional Directive 5

    Sept. 28, 2008

Pastor Kendall saves the best for last as he concludes (for now) what has become the motivation and driving force behind what we are doing as a church.

  • The Beauty of Suffering

    Oct. 5, 2008

We all face trials. The real question is "how" we will handle them. Pastor Kendall emphasizes examples from the early Bible on through to today that demonstrates for us the "how." It's a lesson of encouragement and grace.

  • Little Is Big

    Oct. 12, 2008

Pastor Kendall Odle focuses on two simple notions ... that small things can become big things and that small things have value. Bottom line: Jesus asks only that we do what we can, and He'll do the rest.

  • A Time to Change

    Oct. 19, 2008

Special guest and Turlock Grace Overseer Michael Durso shares about how complaining can destroy a family, including a church family. He encourages each of us to search our hearts and begin anew if necessary -- for our health and the health of the church. We are in a new season.

  • Freedom to Serve

    Nov. 2, 2008

As we near the time of certain change, Pastor Kendall addresses any apprehension that may exist about uncertain times. He reminds us of our mission as stated in the New Testament ... "For you have been called to live in freedom - not freedom to satisfy your sinful nature, but freedom to serve one another in love." We have "Freedom to Serve," and only in doing so will we find real freedom.

Please note ... Due to limited lighting and positioning possibilities in a remote location, only one camera angle was used throughout this message.
